Liner notes:

As a band we are committed to collaborative and rigorous evolution of our sound. For us this means focusing our energies on developing complex, original compositions that are initiated by an individual member and then transformed through extensive group work and improvisation. The resulting pieces draw on each of our individual strengths and generate new ways for us to explore diverse musical landscapes. Because of this, our performances range widely across different approaches to improvised music, sometimes within the same piece. But we don't see our project as a pastiche of contrasting styles. We think of it more as a dialogue among different but related traditions of improvised music, a space where we can explore multifaceted, kaleidoscopic sound worlds and everything that their histories represent for us about freedom, collectivity, responsibility, and imagination.
